Vídeos Um filme de Lars Michael Storm por ocasião da exposição no Ingelheim Kunstvereinem outubro de 2019Anna Bieler Neo-Surreal-WorldsI always use the same or similar symbols – a fish, a bird, the sun or the moon. Or the circle or the square.I painted this in view of the title of the exhibition; some things are surreal. But in my paintings you can also see references to different art movements.„Surrealistic“, in my pictures, are certainly flying fishes or many objects which don`t have their normal function and have a new role. But they are not symbols taken from a particular mythology. In my pictures they have another, specific meaning, they express a certain emotion. It`s the same with the primary colours. I rely on my feeling when I use them. I have a very intensive feeling for colours.Colour is energy for me, I especially love the basic colours, always want to use them.I vary, of course. Here is more pink, for example, green and black. It`s not just the primaries, sometimes I start with some other colour. The different faces I paint, the people, even the animals are parts of someone. This picture means The Circle Of Things. You see the sky, it is an abstract space. In most of my pictures there are abstract colour spaces, only a few landscapes. Here you see two figures – not realistic. One may ask: who or what are these beings? It is actually a process of self-discovery.And what happens to the world, what happens to humans?I look to my own forms and ways to represent human beings.I call this picture „The Materialist“. He is in the centre of the picture. For him, only the material world exists. Our world is only matter, and, therefore, „the world“ is painted deformed. And a person who only sees the material world is – in my opinion – not a whole, but a deformed person.I call this picture „Nature and Hope“. It is positive. I want to show the power of nature. Green and Red dominate, it is about emergence, about beginning and growth. That is why you see this youth with his erect penis. Something new will be created. This picture is called „The Relic“. The figure in the centre is similar to a doll. You may ask: Is it human or a sculpture?Well – it is a very strong woman who has survived the never-ending struggle of life. The picture shows femininity, the feminine power that has been destroyed, and still lives on.This picture is about Transformation. It is a diptych. It has two parts, one dark, one light. It is about the „transformation“ of man or of the whole world. Or of the earth: from dark to light to spiritual elements, to natural elements – it expresses hope: everything can change for the good, for the better. Here I work for a call for proposals on Feminism. I actually never design, but in this case I had to do a sketch for the rating, and then I painted this little picture – which, of course, is finished. It is called „Queen Uncrowned“ and shows a woman who thinks very positively, she looks hopeful and is actually satisfied. She knows her power and that she deserves the crown.Let`s hope that she will be crowned some day.
